National Geographic Central and Southern Rift Valley Map
The National Geographic Central and Southern Rift Valley Map features descriptions of over 50 sites and highlights three tourist circuits throughout the region. Only the second of its kind in Africa, the objective of the map is to help protect important sites by promoting responsible tourism to the region.
The map is the product of a nine-month participatory process during which key tourism stakeholders nominated outstanding natural, cultural, and historic sites within the Central and Southern Rift Valley. The map was created by National Geographic, the Ethiopian Sustainable Tourism Alliance (ESTA), and the Horn of Africa Regional Environmental Centre and Network (HoA-REC) in collaboration with the Ethiopian Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Ethiopian Mapping Agency.
The map is available at all Book World outlets as well as select book and souvenir shops in Addis Ababa.
